Showmen will begin arriving in
Ilkeston on the Sunday prior to the fair
The following car parks will be closed to the public throughout the week to make way for their vehicles:
• Market Place (Pimlico) and Club Row (Gregory Street) – closed from 12pm Sunday
14th October;
• South Street – closed from 9pm Monday 15th October;
• Queen St and East Street – closed from 9pm Monday 15th October.
Parking can be found around the
Ilkeston Town Centre ie nearest (first come first get) Parking can be
found at
• White Line Square (on the
roundabout opposite Entrance to fair)
• Old Safeway carpark (largest) near Albion Centre access via Chalons
way (dual carrigway) and Station Road
• Lower Warncliffe Road and Lord Haddon Road and side streets access
via Oakwell drive, King George Albert Stree (off derby Road);
• Co-Op Car Park, although closed can be accessd via Albert Street,
main access is via lower Queen Street;

Town centre roads will be closed from
5am on Tuesday, October 16th.
East Street and South Street and car parks will be closed to the public
throughout the week to make way for their vehicles.
The roads and car parks will re-open on Sunday October 21st from 12noon.
